The work, on the mind


Benefits - Bliss / Happiness, Love, Clarity, Truth of who we are, Expanded consciousness


Clearing / Purifying energy held in the body. ("clean up")

Understanding

Thoughts create energy, which if not felt, becomes stuck, affecting our bodies

(dense->) Tamasic tired energy, Rajasic restless energy. Sattvic energy (<-clear)

Dense energies cause misery and trouble. Sattvic energy leads to a beautiful life.

Mental force creates density and pain, energies stored prisoner in our bodies.

Energy in our body is constantly bleeding out. As it comes out it is healed by feeling.

Energy flows from full to empty, high to low pressure. Dense to Clear.

Releasing surface energy

Movement to loosen up inertia/tiredness. (dancing, shaking, sports)

Stillness to dissolve restlessness/agitation. (silence, awareness, sleep)

Connecting with and proximity to people/environments with emptier energy

Open people, teachers, places of devotion, consecrated objects/spaces etc

Nature - Air (open window) Fire (sun) Water (shower) Earth (touch the soil)

'Space' - field of no-thing holding all things, akash, bhudda field, god

Releasing deeper held energy

Releasing layers of Painbody is like peeling an onion, realising more our true self

Openness of the mind helps release energies held prisoner

Relaxed states, warm tender okayness, willingness to feel

Breathwork, Inner child, Psychotherapy, Prolonged meditation



Reducing defensive, resisting, and separate nature of the mind ("grow up")

Understanding

The ego is a survival mechanism / drama queen / suffering machine / bullshiter /prison

The mind has beliefs about reality that are not true or cause suffering.

The mind can reject experience - sights/sounds/touch/imagination/thoughts/feelings

We think an external person/event is the cause of our feelings, instead of ourselves

Responsibility & Karma (we are the cause of reality)

We often attribute or blame others as causing or being responsible for how we feel, but it is actually our beliefs & our energy system that creates our feelings.

It's not other's fault - born into circumstances and programming, not of their making

Our responsibility - circumstances created by our actions or karma in previous lives.

Energy coming to us is from past Karma. Energy we radiate now is our future karma.

Mastering the Emotional System (we can engineer our feelings)

Removing procrastination, worry, blaming, guilt, jealousy etc

Examining thoughts and beliefs with doubt to see if they are really true, Contemplating life without those beliefs. Reversing beliefs, because we often project our mind, to see what is more true (what is reality) "He doesn't care about me" -> "I don't care about him / I don't care about me / He does care about me"

Acceptance of experience (we can reduce resistance and suffering)

Acceptance of pain, discomfort, unpleasant sensations and emotions

Acceptance and tender embrace of all experience - energy, phenomena, body and external world rather than resisting and pushing experience away from 'awareness'

Being and Doing in the world in a state of acceptance, with no or minimal resistance

Being active in the world with little mental activity - brushing teeth

Doing uncomfortable and painful things with little mental activity - yoga

Being of service to others - less mental activity about our personal separate story

Increasing the voltage of awareness and turning awareness to reality ("wake up")

Concentration power

Discipline to direct awareness to objects/lack of objects for prolonged lengths

De-absorption of awareness from fixating/fusing/being lost in thought

Expanding awareness to the ambient tapestry of the external world

Awareness/Meditation on peripheral vision, background sounds, touch, breath

Witnessing the mind

Expanding awareness to the intricacies of the internal world

Awareness/Meditation on thoughts, imagination, emotions

Watching the mind like national geographic

Witness with clarity - emptiness of mental activity - so mind movements are seen

Noticing how our mind is constantly lying and banging itself on the wall

Inquiry into self

Expanding awareness away from all the experience of the mind

Turning awareness away from experience, to the "I" that's having experiences

Awareness/Meditation on "I"

Self enquiry - Tuning into space, the nothingness, the frequency of enlightenment

Just being - non doing (of the mind)


One order is to, Wake up (experiencing self/space), Clean up happens as a result of wake up (a result of spaciousness), Grow up happens as a result of clean up (a result of clear energy) On the flip side, If we are not grown up, we won't have enough energetic clarity to know self.
